Darko is a deep red variety of beetroot with a globe-shaped root, smooth skin and an excellent earthy flavour. Easy to grow, beetroot is a great vegetable for beginners and experienced gardeners, the best time to harvest this variety is when they are young and no bigger than a gold ball. They are fantastic for boiling, picking, eating cold with salads or roasting.
