LED bulbs are the most energy efficient option, with a 90% energy saving compared to traditional bulbs and an expected 25 year lifespan (based on average usage of 1000 hours each year, or three hours per day).

What wattage of light bulb do I need?

A bulb's wattage is the amount of power required to light it. The lower the wattage, the less electricity the bulb will use. Typically, a higher wattage, the brighter the bulb. However, improved energy efficiency technology means that this is no longer the case with LEDs.

Can I put LED bulbs in any light?

In many cases, LED bulbs can be put into regular light fittings. However, it's a good idea to check the product specifications of each individual lamp or light fitting. Due to the energy saving credentials of using LED bulbs, the vast majority of new light fittings will be LED compatible.
