Our Team

Our amazing team members are our biggest asset and that’s why we’re passionate about providing them with a safe workplace where they are empowered to do the best for our customers, whether they’re working in one of our stores, Distribution Centres or our Store Support Centre (what we call head office).

We're committed to investing in their development and offer a range of externally accredited training, such as City & Guilds gardening and kitchen design qualifications. All our training programmes are designed to help provide our teams with all the product knowledge and expertise they need to help customers create homes and gardens they love.

At the start of 2020, we also rolled out a new customer service and culture programme to all 5,600 team members, to really bring to life how we keep it simple and work together to make it our mission to inspire customers every day.

During the Covid lockdown we stood together with our store teams campaigning for retail worker rights including partnering with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) to urge shoppers to play their part in creating a safe environment for retail teams, adding ‘Be Respectful to Shop Staff’ into a five point code of conduct launched for shoppers.
