Prunus incisa Oshidori (Flowering Cherry) is a dense, upright shrub or bushy small tree, with zig-zag branches bearing mid-green, lance-shaped tooth-edged leaves. This foliage emerges a rusty-bronze colour in spring, turning green for summer then orange and red in autumn, giving lots of interested throughout the year. The flower buds are pink, opening to pale pink, frilly, double flowers, these appear in early-spring, before the leaves, and may be followed by purplish-black fruit.
