Trailing Ivy (Hedera) is a vigorous, self-clinging climber with 3 to 5 lobed, glossy, evergreen leaves, often with pale green veins and some reddish or bronze colours in autumn. Mature plants produce bushy, non-climbing branches with diamond-shaped leaves, and small, nectar-rich, greenish-yellow flowers in clusters of rounded heads in autumn, followed by black berries in winter.
- An excellent evergreen addition to pots and containers
- Vigorous and easy to grow
- Prune once or twice a years to avoid it growing too large
- Adds interest throughout the year
- Will also climb up walls and trellis
