With a very long flowering season, Erica x darleyensis (9cm) is a vigorous low-growing evergreen shrub with clouds of white, pink, cerise-red bell-shaped flowers. Blooms heavily from late autumn to mid spring. They cover the bright green needle-like foliage which displays attractive creamy tips in spring. Heather Erica is great at providing winter colour while requiring little care and is great at smothering weeds as a ground cover. This is a tough, hardy plant that takes both heat and cold surprisingly well. A great selection of heathers to give an touch of colour to borders, rockeries and container planting for autumn and winter colour.
