Digitalis purpurea, more commonly known as Foxglove, is a biennial or short-lived tall perennial, with overwintering rosettes of grey-green leaves, and spikes of flowers over a lengthy period during summer. The tall, elegant spikes feature deeply spotted tubular flowers is popular among bees. Thriving in both sun and light shade, the Foxglove is easy to grow and ideal for mixed borders, cottage and wildlife gardens.
