Aubrieta are a mat-forming, evergreen perennial reaching about 10cm high, with small, hairy, grey-green leaves. Four-petalled flowers are produced in short spikes from mid-spring to early summer. This nectar-rich plant is great for attracting and feeding wild honeybees. Ideally suited for rockeries, it adds visual appeal when trailing over garden walls.
