Christmas Inflatables

We are firm believers that you can never make your house too festive, especially for the little ones. One of the best ways to get them in the festive mood is to set up some Christmas inflatables. Say hello to a range of blow-up Christmas characters. Choose from the classics, like an inflatable Santa, snowman or Christmas tree, or opt for something a little quirkier, such as a 6-foot dinosaur or a family of penguins.

These inflatable Christmas decorations look great outside and will no doubt capture the imagination of your entire street, or even the neighbourhood. You can pair your blow-up Santa with one of our weatherproof boxes and timer sockets to keep your electrics safe and your inflatable upright at the right times. The timer is particularly handy for saving electricity this Christmas.

So, whether you need Santa's jolly smile, Rudolph's big red nose, a Nutcracker drummer or festive dinosaurs this year, we've got you covered with our outdoor Christmas inflatables. Browse the range of blow-up Christmas decorations either online or in your nearest Homebase.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best Christmas inflatables?

The best inflatable Christmas decorations are ones that bring out the festive cheer in or outside of your home. At Homebase, we stock a wide range of quality and durable Christmas inflatables. This range includes many Christmas favourites, including blow-up Santa, snowman, reindeer and Christmas tree. However, some of our favourite blow-up decorations include our festive dinosaurs and cute little family of penguins.

How do you make Christmas inflatables stay up?

The best way to ensure your inflatable Christmas decorations stay upright is to attach them firmly to a stake in the ground. However, if you can't do this, you can also weigh them down with sandbags or other heavy objects. If you're using ropes to hold them in place, make sure the ropes aren't going to rub on anything and potentially wear away or snap.

Can you leave Christmas inflatables on all night?

We don't recommend leaving your Christmas inflatables on all night. It's best to give them a break and switch them off after running them for around 8 hours at a time. If you're worried about forgetting, you can use a timer socket to make sure your inflatable decorations go down after a certain time.

Do Christmas inflatables use a lot of electricity?

How much electricity your Christmas inflatable uses will depend on its size. Generally speaking, an inflatable decoration will use around 140-150 watts of energy per hour. This can sometimes be less than other Christmas lights. Depending on your electricity provider, this can equate to around £0.01p per hour to run one Christmas inflatable. However, this cost can change due to various reasons, so it's best to monitor your electricity usage and bill when using inflatables.

Should you unplug inflatables in the rain?

At Homebase, our Christmas inflatables are made out of waterproof polyester (IP44) and can withstand staying up in the rain. However, you need to make sure you have a waterproof electrical box for your power plug. If you don't have a waterproof box, it can be dangerous to keep your inflatable plugged in when it rains.

How do you fix a hole in an inflatable Christmas decoration?

You can easily fix a hole in your Christmas inflatable with repair tape. Use either fabric repair tape, waterproof repair tape or UV repair patches for the best results.
