    Frequently Asked Questions

Do plants do better in ceramic or plastic pots?

Different types of plants are suited to different pot materials. Plastic plant pots will retain moisture, so suit plants that like their damp soil. While unglazed ceramics, clay or terracotta pots are porous, so all moisture escapes - these are better for plants that like drier soil.

How do you measure plant pots?

Measuring a plant pot is a quick and easy.
For round plant pots, measure the diameter of the opening at the top, make sure you are measuring from the inside edges and not the outside lip. For square and rectangular plant pots, measure the length and width of the inside opening.
For all pot shapes, remember to measure the depth of the plant pot to know how much potting mix to use. To do this, simply put your ruler or tape measure inside the pot and measure from the bottom to the top edge of the plant pot.

    Can you recycle plant pots?
