FAQs

Reduce, reuse, recycle. This isn’t just a catchy phrase but a call to action! Stepping away from harmful, single-use materials that produce excess waste is one of the ways in ensuring a move towards a more sustainable world.

BLACK+DECKER® are committed to providing more sustainable solutions for the home, enabling our customers to make those little changes to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Absolutely. Our latest range features high-quality and high-performance tools manufactured using Tritan™ Renew, a sustainable fabric that is just as tough and resilient as standard plastics.

Diverting single-use plastic bottles away from landfill and the sea, Tritan™ Renew is a 50% certified recycled material engineered by Eastman.

In a process that reduces the use of fossil-based resources and lowers greenhouse gas emissions, our sustainable tools are produced through Advanced Circular Recycling, Plastic waste is transformed into basic building blocks for material that delivers on performance while being kind to the planet.

The reviva™ recycled tools range matches the excellent performance, reliability and runtime of existing models.

The recycled material is certified through a third-party mass balance allocation process (via ISCC).

Definitely! The Tritan™ Renew material that has been used in the reviva™ collection is fully recyclable. You can visit this link to return your tools to be recycled.

Thanks to the internal battery design used in the reviva™ range, the battery can be easily removed when the tool is ready to be recycled.

We are in the process of establishing a programme for recycling batteries and end-of-life tools. We’ll be sharing more news on this soon, but in the meantime, you can find out more here.

Packaging for the reviva™ range is made from 100% recycled card, meaning that it can also be recycled.

In line without Environment, Social &Governance (ESG) strategy, we’ve developed the reviva™ range to demonstrate our commitment to creating a more sustainable product offering.

Part of our Stanley Black & Decker ESG strategy is our focus on ‘Innovating with Purpose’, where we aim to design products for circularity across the materials we use, their use and end-of-life considerations. In line with this, we have a near-term goal ofusing100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2025.

In 2018, Stanley Black & Decker joined with leading businesses and governments to sign the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment-an initiative pioneered by The Ellen MacArthur Foundation and United Nations Environment Programme. Eastman – the manufacturer of the Tritan™ Renew materials used in the reviva™ range– is also a signatory to the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment.

At Stanley Black &Decker, we we're determined to launch an ESG strategy that aligned the company’s purpose (For Those Who Make The World)with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. While we have always held a strong commitment social responsibility as a company, the ESG strategy, developed in 2017,embodieda broader ambition to help create a more sustainable world.

The Environment, Social & Governance strategy we have created consists of three key pillars: empowering makers, innovating with purpose and creating a more sustainable world. By 2030, Stanley Black & Decker are committed to enabling 10 million creators and makers to thrive in a changing world, to innovating our products to enhance the lives of 500 million people, and to being carbon positive in its global operations -meaning that our carbon capture will be greater than our carbon emissions.
