Upcycle a favourite chair that’s looking a bit tired to give it a new lease of life.

Prepare surface
Sand the chair all over, this will create a good surface for the paint to adhere to. -
Protect surrounding wood
Brush wood wax onto any wood that’s not going to be painted to protect it. -
Cover parts
Use masking tape and newspaper to cover the parts of the chair you want to keep natural. Top tip The masking tape will help give you a nice straight edge. -
Apply primer
Paint primer onto the chair before you spray paint to create good base for the coloured paint to adhere to. -
Spray paint
Evenly spray on the colour in a well ventilated area, then allow the paint to dry fully, before gently removing the newspaper and masking tape.
