This is our second lazy spa,due to our first one getting a puncture not sure where from but was having some building work done at the time!. I would recommend this spa easy to put up and operate ,okay its expensive but we use ours from late spring until autum and its lovely to come home and unwind in it with a nice glass of wine.

We purchased our lay-z-spa 3 years ago, and must say that its one of our best buys for our garden! If you look after the product it will last for years and considering the price compared to regular hot tubs & spas this has to be the bargain of the century. The lay-z-spa has soft walls that make it far more comfortable to soak in than the traditional spas. Our model has the inflatable base so we used a caravan step to make getting in a little easier, but the current model has replaced the inflatable floor with what feels like a soft foam floor, so the sides are lower, making getting into the spa easier for the short of leg. We experienced a problem with the heater/pump but this was very quickly resolved by the manufacturer who provide excellent back-up and support. It will take three adults in comfort but is a little tight for four. Once purchased, don't over inflate the spa, site it on a level surface, and enjoy sitting in the warm water after dark looking up into the night sky.

Great hot tub and reasonably priced.
Once up and running, fairly easy to maintain.
However, paper instructions not that user friendly if unable to watch dvd for initial set up.
Lid improved on earlier models but when lifting off on your own, it takes too much water out with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by loukerr The fun is short lived.
We first bought a lay-z spa from Homebase 2 and a half years ago, it lasted 4 months, then the pump gave out and as they had no more we got a refund, 18 months ago we bought another one, a slightly improved model, and it finally gave up working last week, there is power but the heating or filter part is dead. This is a common problem and as it is out of guaranteee and is so expensive to replace the pump, we are taking it to the tip later. The company need to rectify this problem , we looked after it properly, used all the correct chemicals and stored it in a dry place in the winter. I really expect something to last longer than 18 months.

Having had the 6 month loan of a 7 seater hot tub a few years ago we've always been on the look out to replicate the experience but with something cheaper. I saw the Lay Z Spa on the Homebase website and was impressed with the price and reviews. We've had it a week now and absolutely love it!
I'd recommend buying the Starter Kit at the time of purchase (as I did). Nothing more frustrating than being ready to take the plunge but with no chemicals!
Getting the chemical balance right is a bit daunting at first but in less than a week I've got it just right and down to only 1 minutes a day and another 5 minutes to clean the filter. It really is so easy!
I was a bit concerned that as an inflatable it wouldn't be robust enough - but it is.
I'm really impressed with the heater. I turn it off every night to reduce running costs and it soon recovers the lost heat the next day, ready for another evening dip.
I'd definitely recommend this product - why pay £4000 upwards for a rigid hot tub when the Lay z Spa does just as good a job!

We purchased this product from our local store in Redditch recently and from the moment we walked in the store we were amazed at the level of customer service we received from the store. The product is excellent quality and easy to use. Thanks Homebase Redditch

Rated 5 out of 5 by unwaith Third year of pleasure!
We purchased our Lay z Spa early in the Spring of 2010 during a half price sale and got a further 15% discount on a special weekend. We figured that if it lasted the summer it would have been good value for money. We were quite sceptical about it in all honesty, but after setting up - very easy and simple instructions, and waiting for the spa to heat up we enjoyed the most comfortable hot tub / spa that we have ever sat in. The inflated base and walls are so much more comfortable than a ridged spa, and the water can be heated to 40 degrees which we find a little too hot so we stick to about 37. Late autumn of the first year we followed the storage instructions, waited about four months before setting up for the second season - another year of pleasure was enjoyed, and now we are well into our third year of enjoying this spa. We cannot praise the product enough, support from the manufacturer is great when you need it, and we would recommend anyone to try one of these before spending far too much on a fixed spa that is less comfortable to sit and move around in. The round spa is roomy for 3 average sized adults, but if you want more room, go for the larger oval product from the same manufacturer.
