I purchased this spade for my father recently after a long line of bent and blunt spades before.... This tool has great strength, is easy to hold and cuts a beautiful clean line with a minimum amount of force. My father couldn't be happier

As with the border fork this product is easy to use with a good grip handle set at a good angle.

Really great product. It is smaller than a regular spade so is ideal for the smaller jobs or where less space is available. The handle is really comfortable and the blade is as strong as what is probably possible. It has hit countless flints all summer and hardly shows any marks. I don’t think you could break it. Good value for money.

This spade must have been the last one in the area and I was lucky to find it.
It was not in the assumed place of display but stuck in a barrel near the entrance.
I know it was a lady's size but with all the snow during December, it was a God send. It was also useful clearing snow at work and I kidded others that it was a man sized spade when I bought it but I had worn it down over the last 5 days.

What do you look for when buying an everyday item such as a spade? Realistically you just want one that digs! But why go for a traditional heavy one with dull metal blade and wooden handle when you could choose one of these. The stainless steel makes it easier to push into the ground and to clean after use. The shape of the handle makes for a comfortable grip with seemingly less effort needed in use. Its light weight enables less tiring digging. The red colour cheers you up - and makes it easier to find if left in the undergrowth. The design and overall appearance makes you want to keep it clean (never a bad thing with tools) and it then remains a stylish addition to your shed with the added benefit of being a good solid working tool
