A good sturdy lock. Being used in an areas of high crime and so far has deterred any break ins! Total confidence in this item.

Excellent high quality product which feels robust and well made. Would certainly buy another one in the future. This product is well worth the money and I felt was of far higher standard than more expensive locks.

This is the first product from Homebase that I have not liked and have been using them for thirty years. The problem with the lock is that it does not spring up like most padlocks do. When it is wet and cold it is very fiddly to be pushing and pulling the hasp open. There is a spring I can see through a hole in the bottom of the lock but it does not seem to work. To be fair I have not gone back to check if it is faulty but will do so next time I visit Homebase. It was not a cheap item.

I brought this reinforced packlock for and elderley gentleman to safely lock his garage. On paper it looked like a good buy with a "chunky" design to put off most people and 4 keys to allow seperate users of the garage to have their own access.
However, after opening the padlock once, the interal spring system broke and the padlock would no longer work correctly, meaning you had to jiggle the key pushing the d-loop up and down to get it to open. Not what you need for an old person.......
I took the padlock back and exchanged for another thinking that it must be a single fault. This was not the case.... After opening the new packlock and trying with the first key nothing happened! after using a second key the packlock opened but with the same problem as the first (interal spring not working). Needless to say the packlock is still sitting on my desk as I have not had time to take back a re-complain. Overall verdict, USELESS!
