This is the best of a bad bunch. I looked at towel rails available at the moment and they are either very expensive, victorian looking or just ugly. This looks ok but may over balance if you put too many towels on it. Plus ours rocked after we put it together because the uprights hadn't been made even. Couldn't be bothered to send it back after we'd just put it together so applied some quick DIY to the base. It's ok.

My wife is unsteady near the bath, this towel rail was purchased to help to keep her steady. We looked for similiar products but this was the only one we could find. It would have been better if stronger but for the price it is helping to keep her safe, and for this we are thankful.

I chose this item in preference to the more traditionally shaped alternative because I preferred its look, but I regret buying it.. It's hard to squeeze a third towel onto the middle rail because the two top shelves are so close to each other and, again because it's narrow & quite tall, it overbalances very easily. Air doesn't circulate and the towels don't dry. Altogether, totally impractical and a waste of money.

Perfectly adequate for the purpose intended.Preferable to stainless steel as it doesn't leave rust marks on the floor when it gets wet!

Simple towel stand that I bought for my daughters bedroom to keep wet towels off the floor as there is no room for a hanger to hang off the radiator. Easy to construct and so far after 1 month the white laminate over the MDF hasn't flaked, cracked or broken off. Surprisingly there is little choice for a free standing towel stand and most are the old fashioned style with a rounded top and broader at the base. This one is neat, fitted the space i had and is functional, having a neutral style that fitted in with my teenage daughters taste. Downside is that it is a heck of a lot of money for what it is... just a few bits of laminated MDF, a few screws and dowels... half the price would be just about OK.... BUT it's the right size and style and seemed the only one around so I paid up and haven't got wet carpets anymore !
