Gentiana verna is a diminutive evergreen perennial with a slowly forming mat of narrowly ovate leaves. solitary, erect, deep sky-blue or white flowers with white throats, open in late spring and early summer. Normally found growing in sunny alpine meadows and moorland, they are perfect for an alpine bed. Alternatively put into a planter on the conservatory, so you can enjoy the close up.
