Painted four chairs and they looked wonderful. Loaded them in the car and just touching each other rubbed the paint off. Really light touch against anything and this stuff rubs off. I feel I've wasted quite a lot of time and effort

I wanted to give a tall mirror a makeover. I saw this product in my local store, did some research online and decided to go for it. I covered the mirror with frogtape and used a roller to paint the mirror frame, after waxed it. The result is fantastic.

I thought this was a great product with fantastic results. Very smooth application and needed much less coats than standard emulsion or wood paint. I painted my dated 1980s kitchen with it and I am delighted with the results. The winter grey is a very pale grey and much lighter than the grey printed on the rustoleum colour chart.

This chalk paint goes on easily over bare pine or pre-varnished wood (on bedside tables). It doesn't drip or splatter and has no odour. Brushes wash out easily. Putting a second coat on does seem to make it more "chalky" so I didn't do it on areas that looked ok or wouldn't get a lot of wear and tear. I have yet to use the finishing wax so cannot comment yet on its durability but the appearance so far is excellent.

I bought this paint to paint over an old, wooden and lightly sanded wardrobe. I first coated the wood with a water based primer/undercoat and I found that this sort or sucked the moisture out of the Rust-Oleum paint as I was trying to brush it out. Coupled with a warm day, this made it impossible to get anything like a smooth surface as the paint dried within not very many seconds. I have ended up with really ridged brush marks. I'm not too bothered as this isn't exactly fine furniture, but if you want a smooth surface, I wouldn't recommend this paint. Having said that, I like the colour and the chalky surface is quite nice. I haven't tried waxing the finish, as it says you can, but without wax, the surfaces are easily abraded if you knock them.
