Product Information

  • Mid-season harvest from June to July
  • Produces bright red firm and tasty fruits
  • Great for fresh use or freezing

Honeoye' strawberries are a leading commercial variety, renowned for their mid-season abundance of firm, bright red, well-flavoured fruits, ready for picking from June to early July. This reliable strawberry boasts excellent disease resistance, promising a rewarding summer crop of tasty fruit, perfect fresh, in jams and sauces, or frozen for later use in puddings.
Ideally suited for containers on the patio or rows in the allotment. Plant in autumn or late spring in a sheltered, sunny position with well-manured, free-draining soil. Space strawberry runners 45cm (18") apart in rows spaced at 75cm (30"). Gently spread the roots and plant so the crown is just above the surface, avoiding planting too deep to prevent rotting. Consider growing in hanging baskets or specialised strawberry planters on the patio.
Water frequently and weed regularly between rows. Plants in baskets and containers will benefit from feeding every two weeks during the growing season.
Position: Full Sun.
Height: Up to 20cm when fully established.
Spread: Up to 30cm when fully established.
Supplied as 12 x Strawberry 'Honeoye' bare root plants. Images are for guidance only; results may vary based on growing conditions. Image may vary due to seasonal changes.
