Initially, cultivate the plant in frost-free environments until it's ready for outdoor planting. After a hardening-off period of 7–10 days, plant it in moist, well-drained soil, ensuring it receives sun or partial shade. Provide a support structure of wires or trellis, gently tying in the stems as they develop. Regular watering and feeding will help the plant become established.
Once flowering has finished, prune back the oldest stems and trim the remaining growth to fit the available space.
