Easy Growing

Step 1: Plant up borders

Summer bedding can now be planted in the borders to fill any of the gaps. Keep the plants well-watered for the first month so they can establish root growth. Remember to water your baskets and containers in the morning or later in the evening using Boost to keep them flowering all season long. Deadhead the flowers to encourage the plants to produce more.

Step 2: Feed all ornamental and ericaceous plants...

...plus all fruit and vegetable plants with Boost every time you water. Remove runners (stolons) from strawberry plants when they are in flower to ensure all the energy in the plants goes to producing more fruits.

Step 3: Protect against pests such as slugs and other bugs.

Weed garden borders now as weeds will be growing as fast as your plants now the weather is warmer so it is important to keep on top of them to avoid transfer of pests and diseases. Stake and support tall plants as they grow to help avoid collapsing or breaking. Deadhead roses to keep them healthy and productive. Prune spring flowering bulbs to help more strong and healthy shoots and improve their flowering.

Step 1. Seed & feed it

Assess patches & sow new grass seed if requiredFeed & protect your lawn to keep it lush & healthy with regular applications of a good lawn fertiliser. Check any worn areas for compaction and loosen soil with an aerator or garden fork to ensure drainage. Remember to water the patches if there is no rain.

Step 2. Weed It

Now the warmer months are here, weeds will be growing vigorously so make sure you keep on top of them with a lawn weedkiller or weeding tool. Feeding the lawn regularly with Safelawn or Aftercut Ultragreen and mowing It will also help to keep weeds under control.

3. Mow & water it

Keep your lawn tidy by mowing weekly, and water regularly particularly in dry spells, either in the evening when cooler, or in the morning before the temperature rises
