Compact in size yet bold in colour, these tulip bulbs are perfect for planting in sunny spots and sheltered areas, growing to about 35cm tall and spreading 15cm wide. Strong stems support the layered petals, making them a favourite for cut flower arrangements and cottage garden inspiration. You'll find planting and care simple, with guidance for optimal flowering and lasting beauty. How to grow: Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn in moist, well-drained soil, avoiding particularly wet areas. Choose a sunny position sheltered from strong winds. Plant bulbs approximately 15cm deep and 13cm apart. Avoid shallow planting, as tulips require a period of winter cold to flower successfully in spring. After flowering, deadhead the faded flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer.
