UniBond Seal & Bond is your go-to, all-in-one solution for sealing and bonding tasks, indoors and out. This premium, single-component, polymer-based formula is both a powerful joint sealant and a versatile adhesive. What's more, it contains a fungicide, making it ideal for sealing joints in humid environments where mould growth is a concern, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
To get the best results, ensure your joint width is appropriate for the sealant's movement capability, generally between 10mm and 35mm. Aim for a width-to-depth ratio of approximately 1:0.5. For deeper joints, first fill with a PE foam backer rod before applying the sealant.
When using as an adhesive, apply to one of the surfaces you're bonding: use spots for uneven surfaces, a wavy pattern for high initial tack on larger areas, or straight beads for smaller items. To prevent unwanted adhesive flow, release the gun after application. (Note: not compatible with Foldable Gun DW111/120). Securely fix the items together with a twisting motion. If needed, support heavier or tensioned items until fully cured. You can make adjustments after application. For proper ventilation, maintain a minimum adhesive layer thickness of 1mm.
The sealant will be touch dry in about 30 minutes. Full curing takes approximately 24-48 hours at +23°C for a 2-3mm thickness. Be sure to wait until it's fully cured before applying loads or exposing it to water.
