For a flawless finish on your timber, choose Thorndown Black Stain Blocking Primer. This water-based primer is a high performer, expertly blocking tannins, stains, resin bleed, and sap stains. Ideal for use under Thorndown's UV clear and translucent wood tones, and semi-opaque colours such as Golden Somer, Rowan Berry Red, and Sundowner Orange, it works on all untreated softwoods and hardwoods, including pine, cedar, redwood, plywood, MDF, and hardboard. Low in VOCs, it's suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Drying quickly – within an hour in good weather – one coat is usually sufficient, although two coats may be needed for very resinous or knotty wood. 750ml.
