This Thompson and Morgan Weigela Towers of Flowers Apple Blossom Plant is perfect for growing your own beautiful plants. This columnar version of a classic shrub, Weigela ‘Towers of Flowers Apple Blossom’ produces masses of pretty pink flowers along its upright stems in late spring, with a possible second bloom in late summer. A fast-growing, hardy, and resilient shrub, it’s also an ideal solution for narrower border spaces and provides an effective screen for front gardens or boundaries.
For best results, grow Weigela in a sunny or semi-shaded spot in well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost, planting at the same depth as the pot. Backfill, water well to settle the soil, and continue to water regularly throughout the growing season until fully established. Each spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the plant's base. Weigela requires minimal pruning; simply cut back stems to a healthy bud after flowering and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
