Weigela ‘Towers of Flowers Apple Blossom’ is a columnar version of the classic shrub, perfect for narrower borders. This prolific shrub bears masses of pretty pink flowers along its upright stems in late spring, with a smaller second flourish often appearing in late summer. Fast growing, hardy and resilient, this low-maintenance shrub makes an effective and attractive screen, ideal for front gardens or boundaries.
Plant in a sunny or semi-shaded spot, in well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Plant at the same depth as the pot, backfill, and water well to settle the soil. Water regularly during the growing season until established. In spring, mulch with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Little pruning is required; after flowering, cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
