Thompson and Morgan Tree Lily Honeymoon Bulb 3 Pack

For a stately and impressive addition to your garden, look no further than the tall Tree Lily ‘Honeymoon’. Ideal for the back of a border or to greet guests with a ‘wow’ factor, this variety is a cross between trumpet and oriental lilies, showing off large blooms with a powerful, heady fragrance. Blooming at head height or taller, the fragrance can be enjoyed with every passing.
These hardy perennial bulbs return year after year, reaching up to 2.5m tall after their second or third year, and producing up to 30 blooms per plant at maturity. Savour the blooms in your garden or snip a few to create an effortless, fragrant posy for your home. Over the years, the bulbs will produce multiple strong and sturdy stems, giving the plant a bushy, shrub-like appearance.
Oriental lilies thrive in moist, free-draining, neutral to acid soil that is rich in organic matter. Enrich the soil with plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting, giving your lilies the best possible start. When growing lilies in containers, opt for a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.2.
Lily bulbs should be planted at a depth of approximately three times their height and spaced 15cm (6") apart. Deep planting helps protect the bulb during hot spells. Choose a sheltered, sunny spot where the lilies can grow with their heads in the sun and their roots in the shade.
