Thompson and Morgan Tomato Red Alert Seeds

Witness the magic unfold with the Thompson and Morgan Tomato Red Alert Seeds. It is an exceptional tomato variety ideal for those desiring abundant fruit production, yielding 4-5 pounds (1.8-2.25kg) per bush on a compact plant that thrives with minimal effort. From late June to early November, expect to harvest petite cherry tomatoes that radiate a vibrant red hue as they ripen in the sun. This variety boasts a unique flavour profile characterised by sweetness and refreshment, making it perfect for salads and Italian cuisine. It is easy to cultivate in both containers and greenhouses. For greenhouse planting, sow seeds from February to March, while outdoor sowing takes place from March to April. Place seeds on the surface of a well-draining, damp seed sowing mix and lightly cover with compost or vermiculite. Maintain seed trays in a propagator at a steady temperature of 15-20°C (59-68°F) until germination occurs, typically within 7-14 days. Once seedlings develop two true leaves, transplant them into individual 7.5cm (3 in) pots filled with compost and grow them at a minimum temperature of 15°C (59°F). As the plants mature, transfer them into baskets or containers. After the danger of frost has passed, gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before placing the baskets outdoors in a sheltered area with full sun. The plants achieve a height and spread of up to 45cm (17.7 in) when fully established, with one packet containing 25 seeds.
