Thompson and Morgan Thuja Plicata Can Can Plant in Pot 9cm

Thuja plicata ‘Can ’ is a compact, evergreen conifer with an architectural habit. This semi-dwarf variety of Western Red Cedar is slow-growing, making it an ideal choice for adding fuss-free structure, height and year-round colour to gardens. A gardener-friendly version of its more vigorous relatives, this long-lasting small tree requires little maintenance.
Use it as a stand-out feature in smaller gardens or incorporate it into mixed borders and shrubberies for constant structure. Its upright habit and modest height also make it suitable for hedging, gradually forming a lush, dense boundary over time.
Plant in any well-drained soil, whether acidic, alkaline or neutral, in a location with full sun or partial shade. Protect plants from cold, drying winds, particularly when the plant is young. Thuja needs minimal care, only requiring occasional watering until established, especially those grown in containers which can dry out quickly during hot summers.
