Thompson and Morgan Sweet Pea Old Fashioned Scented Mix Seeds

Enjoy the delightful fragrance of home-grown Sweet Peas with this Old Fashioned Scented Mix, producing petite, perfumed blooms. These hardy annuals can reach heights of up to 1.8 metres and are ideal for adding vertical interest to your garden. Sow from January to May, or September to October, for a colourful display from June to September. For the earliest blooms, sow under glass in early spring or directly outdoors in April and May. Alternatively, overwinter in a cold frame from autumn to get a head start. Full growing instructions are included on the packet.
Sow from January to March under glass with gentle heat, or outdoors in April to May for flowers from June to September. These can also be sown in September to October in a cold frame or greenhouse to overwinter, producing the earliest blooms.
For early flowering, sow in a greenhouse or indoors at approximately 13-15°C, sowing 3 seeds per 10cm pot, 13mm deep. Germination takes 10-20 days. Acclimatise to outside conditions before planting out in May. Alternatively, sow directly into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil where the plants are to flower, at a depth of 13mm. To encourage more flowers, remove growing tips after 3-4 pairs of leaves have developed. These can also be sown in September to October in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse to overwinter.
