Thompson and Morgan Sunflower Russian Giant Seeds

Create towering beauty with the classic Thompson and Morgan Sunflower Russian Giant Seeds. This hardy sunflower is a true giant, capable of reaching a height of 10 feet. Perched on thick, tall green stems, its large butter-yellow blooms open from late June to early October, delighting pollinating insects with their nectar-rich flowers. The seeds attract birds, making this Russian variety an excellent option for wildlife areas and cottage gardens. Furthermore, these sunflowers can create stunning summer cut flower arrangements for your home. When selecting a location for sowing, choose an outdoor area where they will flower. Prepare the soil by raking it until it is fine and crumbly, ensuring the removal of any large stones. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 12mm (0.5 inches) in drills spaced 45cm (18 inches) apart. Once large enough to handle, thin the seedlings to maintain a space of 45cm (18 inches) apart. For exceptionally large sunflowers, sow seeds indoors in 7.5cm (3-inch) pots during late winter or early spring, maintaining a temperature range of 20-30°C (68-86°F). Once the risk of frost has passed, plant them outdoors 45cm (18 inches) apart. Product specifications include a full sun position, a mature height of up to 300cm (118.1 inches), and a spread of up to 60cm (23.6 inches). Supplied as one packet of 25 seeds with included growing and care instructions; images provided are for guidance and may vary based on seasonal changes and growing conditions.
