Elsanta' strawberries are ideal for gardens or patios, even if space is limited. These vigorous, dark green plants produce aromatic, glossy, orange-red berries renowned for their outstanding flavour. Expect a generous yield of 400-500g of fruit per plant during the summer months, provided the conditions are right.
Harvest these terrifically tasty strawberries from mid-June to mid-July. They're perfect for jam making, delicious desserts, or simply enjoying fresh from the plant. Reaching a height of 20cm (8”) and spreading to 30cm (12”), these plants are a delightful addition to any garden.
For optimal growth, plant strawberry plants in autumn or late spring in a sheltered, sunny location with well-manured, free-draining soil. Space strawberry runners 45cm (18”) apart in rows spaced at 75cm (30”). Ensure the roots are spread out and the crown of the plant is just above the soil surface to prevent rotting.
