Carrot ‘Resistafly’ F1 Hybrid brings you a reliable crop with excellent resistance to carrot root fly, making every harvest a pleasure. With smooth skin, crisp core and a lovely sweet flavour, you’ll enjoy these carrots raw, grated or cooked alongside your favourite meals. Easy to grow in garden beds or containers, they’re perfect for those seeking a dependable, tasty addition to their vegetable patch. Sow carrot seeds thinly at a depth of one centimetre in drills 30cm apart. Germination will take ten to 20 days. When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings within each row to five centimetres apart. Where space is limited, growing carrots in containers will also produce a worthwhile crop. Water well to encourage germination. Once germinated, carrots should be watered only when necessary to keep the soil moist, as excessive water may encourage leaf growth instead of roots. During growth, the carrot roots may be earthed up to prevent green crowns from developing. Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 30cm when fully established. Spread: Up to 15cm when fully established.
