Imagine gathering your own delicious, freshly-picked raspberries right from your garden. This fantastic collection features three popular and prolific varieties, ensuring an abundant harvest from July through to mid-October. Perfectly suited to UK gardens or allotments, these British-bred raspberries are easy to grow, vigorous and reliable.
This collection includes: 6 x Raspberry 'Glen Prosen' – A summer fruiting cultivar producing medium-large sized fruit, which is firm and with an excellent flavour. These canes are thornless and upright, displaying moderate vigour. 6 x Raspberry 'Glen Ample' – An exceptional high-yielding mid-season variety, producing a heavy crop of large, deep red, succulent berries with a superb flavour. This variety has received the RHS AGM award. 6 x Raspberry 'Autumn Bliss' – One of the best and most reliable autumn fruiting varieties, delivering a heavy crop of large, attractive red berries from late August until mid-October.
Grow your raspberry plants in a sunny position in any well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Prepare a framework of wires stretched horizontally between two sturdy 1.8m (6') posts. Plant raspberry canes in a row against the wire supports, spacing them 60cm (24") apart. Immediately after planting, prune the canes to 15cm (6") above ground level to encourage more shoots. Water well during the first year to ensure plants are fully established. Loosely tie the stems of summer fruiting raspberries to their support wires as they grow.
