- Produces white pink blossoms throughout spring
- Thrives in sun or partial shade
- Ideal cottage low maintenance plant
A dazzling display of spring colour, the Fuji cherry 'Kojo-no-mai' bursts into life early with a profusion of delicate, pink-tinged white blossoms. These beautiful blooms are a magnet for bees, providing a vital early source of nectar. Unlike many cherry trees, this variety forms a neat, compact shrub, perfect for smaller gardens or those seeking low-maintenance options. As autumn arrives, the leaves transform into a vibrant spectacle of fiery orange and red, ensuring a long season of interest. This RHS AGM variety gives a long season of interest.
Plant in a shrub border alongside early spring bulbs for a truly show-stopping display. Thriving in full sun or partial shade, in any fertile, well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with plenty of compost or well-rotted manure for optimum growth. Water regularly until fully established. Little aftercare is needed; simply prune away any diseased, damaged, or crossing shoots to maintain a healthy shape. It's best to prune in midsummer to avoid the risk of silver leaf infection. In spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base, being careful not to pile it against the stem.
Position: Sun or Partial Shade.
Height: Up to 2.5m.
Spread: Up to 2.5m.
Supplied in a 3.6 Litre Nursery Pot.
