For best results, pot up your petunia plants and nurture them in warm, frost-free conditions before transplanting. Pinching out the growing tips encourages branching, leading to bushier plants and an abundance of flowers. Once the risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Then, transplant them into well-drained soil in full sun, whether in baskets, window boxes, or containers. Remember to feed and water your petunias regularly, especially during hot, dry spells.
