Achieving a vibrant summer display in your garden is effortless with the Petunia ‘Surfinia’ Collection. These fast-growing and vigorous petunias are ideal for creating a stunning show in hanging baskets, flower pouches, and containers. Their vigorous growth ensures an abundance of blooms, almost obscuring the foliage beneath.
These versatile petunias can also be used to create a less formal display, trailing gracefully over walls in a cascade of trumpet-shaped flowers.
To get started, pot up your petunia plants and nurture them in warm, frost-free conditions, preparing them for transplanting later. Encourage branching and bushier growth, which leads to more flowers, by pinching out the growing tip of each stem.
Once all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Then, transplant them outdoors into well-drained soil in full sun, whether in baskets, window boxes, or containers.
