To get started, pot up your petunia plants and nurture them in a warm, frost-free environment, ready for transplanting later on. Pinch out the tips of each stem to encourage branching, resulting in a bushier plant that will reward you with an abundance of flowers. Once the risk of frost has completely disappeared, gradually acclimatise your plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Then, transplant them into your baskets, window boxes, or containers, using well-drained soil and ensuring they receive plenty of sunshine.
