Thompson and Morgan Pepper Chilli Mild Patio Galaxy Red Plant in Pot 9cm

Compact and perfectly formed, these chilli plants are ideal for sunny kitchen windowsills. Expect abundant crops of delicious, small red fruits from these neat growers. Chillies thrive undercover in greenhouses or polytunnels, or outdoors in a sunny, sheltered spot. Smaller types also flourish on a bright windowsill.
Pot up young plants and nurture them in warm, frost-free conditions. Once established, move them into grow bags, containers, or well-prepared beds with fertile, well-drained soil. When growing outdoors, gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions over 7-10 days before transplanting, spacing them 50cm apart.
Water regularly throughout the growing season, and once the first fruits appear, feed weekly with a high-potash tomato fertiliser. Taller varieties may need staking. Mulch generously around the base to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. In greenhouses, maintain humidity by damping down paths daily.
Harvest individual chillies with secateurs, or pull up the whole plant when laden with red peppers and hang it upside down in the kitchen for year-round use. Outdoor-grown chillies must be harvested before the first frosts.
