- High-yielding, tender peas with great flavour
- Long cropping season from summer to autumn
- Hardy, reliable seeds for continuous harvest
Pea ‘Terrain’: A heavy-cropping, flavourful variety that consistently delivers. Our 2015 trials highlighted its exceptional yield, superb pod quality, and delicious taste. Remarkably, it demonstrated resistance to both downy and powdery mildew, even thriving alongside infected plants. Successive spring sowings ensure a long harvest, from summer well into autumn. Each pod generously yields around 78 peas.
Sow directly outdoors from March to early July, once the soil has warmed. Choose a sunny, weed-free spot with moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds 5cm (2 inches) apart and 4cm (1 1/2 inches) deep in flat-bottomed drills, spacing rows 75cm (30 inches) apart. For optimal results, sow every 10 days. Support plants with sticks, wire, or netting as they grow, and use fine netting to protect against birds and pea moth. Regular watering, especially during flowering, boosts yields. Harvest after approximately 14 weeks, when pods are swollen; regular picking encourages continued cropping.
Mature height: Up to 90cm. Spread: Up to 30cm. This pack contains 300 seeds. Images are for guidance only; results may vary depending on growing conditions.
