Explore a world of botanical wonders with the Thompson and Morgan Nut Tree Purple Filbert Bare Root Tree 2 Pack. Bring a dramatic splash of colour and tasty rewards to your garden with the purple filbert, a hazel tree that shines with deep purple leaves, catkins and fruit from spring to autumn, creating an ever-changing focal point. You'll love how its self-fertile nature means you get a generous crop of delicious hazelnuts each autumn without needing a second tree, and its manageable size suits most gardens, whether used as a standalone feature or mixed into borders. Hardy and easy to grow, the purple filbert promises lasting visual interest and a bountiful harvest with minimal fuss. How to Grow: Light: Full sun to partial shade. Temperature: Hardy, tolerates most climates. Plant in a sheltered spot if possible. Watering: Water well after planting and during dry spells, especially when establishing. Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Feeding: Generally requires no feeding if planted in fertile soil. A mulch of compost or well-rotted manure in spring can be beneficial. Humidity: No specific humidity requirements. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results.
