Upon receipt, pot up your plants and nurture them in frost-free conditions until the threat of frost has completely subsided. Once the plants are thriving, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into your borders and containers.
These herbaceous perennials flourish in any moist, fertile soil, thriving in both sun and semi-shaded locations. Prior to planting, enrich the top 20cm of soil with compost or a general-purpose fertiliser.
