- Quick-growing climber with vibrant, frilly blooms
- Perfect for walls, fences, and garden structures
- Adds peppery flavour to salads and canapes
Add vibrant summer colour to your garden with Nasturtium Climbing Mixed. This vigorous climber quickly establishes itself, ideal for draping over walls, fences, trellises, or obelisks. Expect a profusion of frilly blooms in a dazzling array of colours, including bicolour varieties, throughout the summer months. The peppery leaves and colourful flowers add a delicious zing to salads, while the unripe seeds, used like capers, are a tasty addition to canapés – try them with cream cheese or butter. Sow directly outdoors where the plants will flower, preparing the ground by raking it fine and crumbly, removing any stones. Sow seeds 20mm deep, in rows 30cm apart. Thin seedlings to 23cm apart once established, watering regularly until they are well-rooted. For earlier blooms, sow seeds in 7.5cm pots of free-draining compost at 15-20°C until germination, gradually acclimatising to outdoor conditions before planting out after the last frost. Mature plants reach up to 240cm high and 150cm across. Supplied as a single seed packet. Images are for guidance only; results may vary depending on growing conditions.
