Product Information

  • Dusky orange foliage with soft feathery foliage
  • Low maintenance hardy perennial plant
  • Perfect to display in mixed borders or gavel garden

Indian Summer Miscanthus Grass makes a striking addition to any garden. This hardy perennial ornamental grass shows off dusky orange foliage, topped with soft, feathery flowers that create a magnificent display throughout the seasons. Expect charming, dainty blooms to arrive in sunny August.
Ideal for mixed borders or gravel gardens, this low-maintenance Miscanthus shrub is a reliable and sturdy choice. Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Miscanthus Grass may not thrive in soils that sit wet in winter. Prior to planting, improve drainage on particularly heavy soils by incorporating well-rotted compost and grit. Feed and water regularly until fully established.
In early spring, cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level before new growth appears. To maintain vigour, lift and divide overcrowded clumps every third year.
