Thompson & Morgan Malus Crab Apple Golden Hornet Plant Pot 5L

Crab Apple ‘Golden Hornet’ is a remarkable tree, offering multi-seasonal interest ideal for smaller gardens. During spring, expect delicate, white, cup-shaped blossoms, a delightful contrast against the fresh green foliage. These blooms give way to an abundant display of golden-yellow fruits, persisting on the tree well into winter, ensuring a striking autumnal and winter feature. These fruits are superb for making crab apple jelly, and any left unpicked will soften after the first frosts, providing a valuable food source for wild birds. Being self-fertile, this variety is also an excellent pollinator for orchard apple trees, thriving in gardens of all sizes. A truly attractive and practical addition, ‘Golden Hornet’ brings beauty and functionality to any garden.
How to Grow: Plant in full sun or partial shade for best results. This tree thrives in temperate climates. Water regularly, particularly during dry spells. Apply a balanced fertiliser in early spring to encourage healthy growth. It flourishes in moderate humidity.
Variety Included: Crab Apple ‘Golden Hornet’ - A self-fertile tree boasting white spring blossoms and golden fruits, perfect for jellies and feeding the birds.
