To successfully grow Lily Forever Susan, ensure a moist, free-draining soil that is neutral to acidic and rich in organic matter. Plant bulbs at a depth approximately three times their height, spacing them 15cm (6 inches) apart. Throughout the growing season, keep the soil consistently moist, feeding regularly with a balanced fertiliser. Deadhead faded blooms to encourage continuous flowering and vigorous growth. After flowering, allow the stems to yellow before reducing watering and moving containers to a cool, frost-free location for winter. In milder areas, outdoor lilies can remain in the ground with a protective mulch applied in spring.
