Prized for its garden performance and resilience, 'Munstead' Lavender is a popular and traditional English variety that brings fabulous colour and fragrance to your garden. This lavender boasts compact, bushy silver-grey evergreen foliage, providing year-round structure, colour and fragrance. In summer, expect a delightful display of fragrant lilac-mauve flowers on fairly long flowering stalks, which create a relaxed look and are irresistible to bees and butterflies. These fragrant blooms are perfect for fresh-cut flowers and drying.
Quick to establish, it's ideal for low hedging, edging pathways, filling spaces at the front of large, sunny borders, or enhancing large patio containers. Very low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established.
Easy to care for and drought-tolerant, this lavender thrives in a sunny spot with free-draining soil, disliking wet conditions, particularly in winter. Improve heavy soil by adding coarse grit or sharp sand before planting. Water regularly in summer until established; thereafter, it's reasonably drought-tolerant.
