Thompson and Morgan Kiwi Actinidia Deliciosa Jenny Self Fertile Plant Pot 9cm 2 Pack

Jenny' Kiwi is a hardy, self-fertile variety; the perfect choice if you only have room for one of these climbers. A striking plant in its own right, it boasts red-tipped, heart-shaped foliage, and clusters of small white flowers in summer. The sweet, egg-shaped fruit, ready to harvest in August and September, makes for simply delicious fresh-from-the-garden treats.
Plant in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. A sheltered position is key, as kiwis dislike harsh weather conditions. Before planting, enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost, firm the plant in place, and water generously. Train the twining stems onto sturdy support wires strung between posts, creating an espalier. Water and feed regularly until established, especially during hot, dry periods. Train stems onto their supports. In autumn, mulch the base of the plant with well-rotted manure or compost. Prune in winter.
