Juniperus horizontalis Pancake, commonly known as Creeping Juniper, is a compact, low-growing evergreen, reaching a miniature height of 15cm. Its aromatic foliage provides a consistent year-round display, developing an attractive bronze hue during the winter months. Ideal for smaller gardens, rockeries, or patio containers, this Juniper acts as an effective ground cover and is low maintenance. Plant in a sunny or lightly shaded location, in well-drained soil; these trees tolerate dry, chalky, or sandy soils. Prior to planting, incorporate well-rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil, mixing thoroughly and deeply. Water regularly throughout the growing season until fully established.
