Brighten up pond edges and damp borders with the rich velvety red blooms and golden highlights of Iris Louisiana ‘Ann Chowning’, a hardy perennial that brings dramatic colour from late spring into summer. Upright, strap-like foliage adds height and structure while the flowers make a striking choice for cut arrangements. Thriving in moist or boggy ground, these plants are ideal for adding a splash of colour to water features and borders, and with two 9cm pots included, you’ll enjoy twice the impact in your garden. How to Grow: Plant in damp, fertile, acid or neutral soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Position in full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for boggy borders or shallow pond margins with the crown up to 20cm below water level. Maintain consistently moist soil, watering during dry periods. Divide overcrowded clumps in autumn after flowering. Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture. Cut back pond-grown plants to just above the water surface in autumn.
